Comments:
The double windmill uses the same technique as the weave except it is being
applied on a different plane. Where the forward weave uses an alternation
of raising the lower hand back and on top, the double windmill alternates
from
front
to back. The action requires that you allow the poi to take an extra rotation
on whichever side of the body the move is currently being performed (front
or back). in the forward windmill, when your hands are behind you (the first
position usually when entering the windmill) you will change the hand furthest
from you to the the position being closest to you. Use
the same technique you do in the forward weave, keeping your wrists facing
each other and together. Watching the video close up of the hands as they
are provided below you should be able
to see
this
technique. When in the position where the poi are in front of you, perform
this same action bringing the hand furthest from you to the position of
being closest to you. This action should be the same regardless if you are
performing
either a forward or reverse windmill.
